Naples Yellow Hue
Joules & Joules Naples Yellow Hue is a warm, opaque, and highly lightfast pale earthy yellow, with moderate tinting strength and covering power. Currently, very few oil paint companies produce this historic color with a single pigment. This is due to the fact that the original color, P 41, is made from Lead Antimonate, a highly toxic substance.
Color Index PY 83 + PBr 6 + PW 6 Binder Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil Transparency/Opacity Opaque Lightfastness I (Excellent) Tinting Strength Medium Drying Rate Medium Observations Not affected by diluted alkalis, acids, light, or oxygen.
