Joules & Joules Phtalo Green is a dark, transparent, highly lightfast cool green with high tinting strength and low covering power. It is a vivid green with distinct bluish undertones. First manufactured in 1927, it became widely commercialized in the 1930s.
Pigment Classification Synthetic Organic Pigment Chemical Composition Chlorinated Copper Phthalocyanine - C32H16CuN8Cl15 Color Index PG 7 Binder Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil, Cold-Pressed Safflower Oil, and Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil Transparency/Opacity Transparent Lightfastness I (Excellent) Tinting Strength High Drying Rate Fast Observations May develop an iridescent sheen or darken. These effects may take decades or centuries to become noticeable. Toxicity Non-toxic. Avoid inhalation and contact with the powdered pigment and ingestion of the paint.
