Prussian Blue (HUE)

Joules & Joules Prussian Blue (HUE) Matte Acrylic Paint is a deep, dark blue with greenish undertones, semi-opaque transparency, and high tinting strength. Formulated from a blend of PB15.3 (Phthalo Blue), PV23 (Dioxazine Violet), and PBK6 (Carbon Black), it offers moderate coverage, fast drying time, and a uniform matte finish. This composition allows for dense layers, glazes, and precise mixtures, resulting in rich, complex tonalities for detailed artistic work.

Prussian Blue originated in the 18th century as a synthetic alternative to more expensive and unstable natural blues. The modern HUE version recreates its traditional characteristics through synthetic pigments, preserving the depth and intensity of the original blue. It is widely recognized for its versatility, enabling the creation of atmospheric effects, shadows, and gradients in contemporary palettes.

With a lightfastness rating of I (Excellent), Prussian Blue (HUE) Matte Acrylic Paint maintains chromatic stability and durability even in prolonged applications. Its paint film is resistant to heat,

light, and chemical agents, ensuring long-term color preservation. It is ideal for artists seeking a sophisticated, deep, and technically reliable blue for professional and expressive works.
