Handmade Oil Paint: Mono-Pigment Line – Synthetic Pigments
Transparent White
Joules & Joules Transparent White is a warm, bright white with excellent lightfastness. It is transparent, with low tinting strength and low covering power. Its production serves as an alternative to transparent Zinc White, which forms a more rigid paint film than Titanium White and is prone to cracking.
Its transparency is achieved through a combination of a low proportion of titanium dioxide and transparent stabilizers such as quartz, fumed silica, and mineral talc. This makes it an ideal paint for mixtures, as it preserves chromatic intensity and brilliance without dulling the color.
